Anaccomplished musician with 50 years of playing experience, E.T. ”Music Man”Thomas has shared the stage with many of the greatest musical artists of today,including Bryan Alford, Ronald Bruner Jr., Morris Day, Fred Hammond, EnriqueIglesias, Delynia Jannell, Danny LeMelle, Lonnie McFadden, Preston Portley,Victor “XMan” Taylor, Soltri (Roz & Nate McCommon & Marlon Bankston),Michael Speaks, Speech (Arrested Development) Donald Vega (Ron Carter Trio),Sheree Yoder (Youth Music Academy) and many more.
He hasperformed at various national venues including. 5th St Dicks, TheWorld Stage, The Vision Theater (Marla Gibbs), Cotton Club West, New YorkConvention Center, L.A. Convention Center, Shrine Auditorium (Academy Awards),Rose Bowl Stadium. Arrowhead Stadium. The Blue Room, The Gem Theater, and manymore.
E.T. wasborn in Kansas City with roots from N.Y. and L.A. He attended college at Tarkio College, LongBeach City College, and Cal State LA wherehe studied Music Education, Afro Cuban/ Latin Jazz Performance, Bassoon,Percussion, Piano, Saxophone and Voice. He also studied private Vocal Pedagogyand Theater in Manhattan N.Y.
He is thefounder of the bands Poetry In Motion, and Musication, and the music company E.T.'s Music Services.
Hecurrently performs with D.J.E.(The Delynia Jannell Ensemble), The Bryan AlfordExperience (Steel Pan Band), and Preston Portley & Friends, at variousvenues throughout the KC Metro area and works as a contracted Multimedia Specialistand Musician for the Fort Leavenworth Army Base.
Hecurrently teaches at Ernie Williamson Music School, and The Kansas City JazzAcademy. He also teaches private online and in home music lessons.
He lives byhis teaching philosophy, "You must imitate to create." and to achievemusical excellence you must “Practice accurate and slow, gain speed as you go,as you grow”
