Please note that temporary pedestrian access changes will be in effect at the American Jazz Museum and the Gem Theater due to nearby road construction.
These changes will apply Monday morning through the end of the workday on Thursday. During this time, some entrances along 18th Street will be unavailable.
An updated pedestrian access map is posted below, showing the ADA-compliant accessible route as well as alternate (non-compliant) paths to help visitors navigate safely to open entrances, including the Museum’s North Entrance, The Blue Room, and The Gem Theater.
Importantly, weekend access will remain the same as it has been—no additional restrictions are planned outside of the weekday construction window.
We appreciate your patience as this work is completed and encourage all visitors to use the marked accessible routes during this time.
